Managerial Structure overview

Taking into account the size of the consortium and the type of activities that have to be carried out, it is proposed to organize the management structure on simple principles of governance. Therefore the objective is to set-up a lean management organisation. To ensure a good management of the project it is anticipated that there will be at least 1 steering committee meeting every 4 months.

The management will be performed by the :

Advisory Committee

The Advisory Committee is composed of high level personalities from various field, and its role is to help the NEARCTIS team to develop a strategic view of the traffic management and cooperative systems field.

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is composed of representatives of all the partners of the project who are able to speak for their institution. This committee meets three times a year. Its governance is described in the Consortium Agreement of this project.

Coordination Team

The Coordination Team is basically composed of two persons; the project coordinator, and the scientific moderator. The Coordination Team will have the possibility of inviting an additional partner according to the agenda. It formally meets once a month, with informal meetings as necessary. It can meet by any electronic means (audio or video conferencing, electronic mails).

Work Package leaders

The Work Package leaders are mainly responsible for the good performance and observance of time tables for the tasks assigned to their Work Package. The Work Package leaders are also responsible for the active project planning and progress monitoring in conjunction with the Coordination Team. They coordinate the work of the tasks conducted within the workpackage and make sure deliverables are produced in due time. They report to the coordination team.

Meetings of the Work Packages (i.e WP Leader + task leaders) will be held on a regular basis. The Work Packages will meet when needed to achieve the deliverables.

Task leaders

The task leaders are responsible of the actual work made in the task. They coordinate the work of partners, and also of participant associate partners. They report to the WP leaders.
